The study group Religion and Literature
Although since the Enlightenment an increasing “secularization” can be observed in all aspects of society of the German speaking countries, in contemporary literature Religion is still present in diverse forms and characteristics; not least in the shape of a critical examination of religious traditions and the articulation of doubts in God, but also in terms of a rediscovery and revitalization of their religious heritage. Here the question of distinction between literary and religious texts arises. Read more…
